Tripura is one of the smallest states in India, which is cuddled in the remote northeast hills of India. The state was formerly known as 'Hill Tippera', during the time of British rule. Agartala

Agartala is the capital state of Tripura. The royal residence of the Manikya Kings, Ujjayanta Palace is one of the major attractions for tourists in Agartala. Mughal style gardens, glorious tile floor, high ceilings and artistic doors of curved wood are the unique features of this palace. Neermahal is a water palace situated in Agartala, which showcases interesting combination of Hindu and Mughal architectural styles. The other tourist spots include Jagannath Temple, Benuban Bihar, Gedu Mian Mosque and Malanch Niwas.
