Top Politicians Who Oppose FDI Retail

Bangalore: The Indian government decision of 51 percent of FDI in retail may be called a bold move by U.S. but within Indians, the decision is being highly criticized. Many political parties are against as they feel to the decision is not taken keeping the majority of Indians in mind. There are great politicians who rule the Indian states have strongly opposed the decision thinking about people of all classes. The politicians named below have been sticking to their words and are screaming on top of their voice for stopping the implementation of such policies in their province. Some of these politicians are also the allies of the ruling government.

1. Jayalalitha:

Tamil Nadu CM, Jayalalitha will not welcome the multi brand retailers in the state. The Tamil Nadu CM has totally opposed the decision of FDI retail. She argued with the centre by asking how they would take such hasty decisions without conferring with the state government. She calls it as an unparallel decision taken in an arrogant manner. The entering of multi brand will monopolize which will hit small traders. The farmers will undergo huge losses and around 40 million people into retailing will suffer from losses.  She also said that the government is acting over confident and will end up is a great loss for the state as rural population and small retailers will be affected.
