Bangalore: The World Heritage Sites in India, recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization [UNESCO] are 28. These are places of importance of cultural or natural heritage as described in the UNESCO World Heritage convention established in 1972.
We have not listed all the 28 sites but here are the 5 must see sites:
Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal is the epitome of Mughal art and one of the most famous monuments in the world. It was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
Taj Mahal is Located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, it attracts between 2 million and 4 million visitors annually, including more than 200,000 from overseas. Entrance Fee at the place for Indians is cheaper than for overseas. Most tourists visit the place in the months of October, November and February as these months are the coolest in Delhi.
