The NetScreen-100 is the flagship product from the company as the product is easy to install and inexpensive. The installation comes with simple assigning of IP addresses via serial connection. The NetScreen also has some exciting new features as it can pass the packets through the network without routing them which eliminates the need to add another subnet between the firewall and the external router. But the network access controls where rated as the weakest among others.

#5 Cisco Systems Cisco PIX Firewall 520

Cisco PIX is one of the most popular firewall appliance used across the enterprise space. Also the PIX were one of the first products to make into the enterprise market. The product has achieved a throughput rate of 150 Mbps. Analysts also were impressed on the performance rate from the product. Even after activating the NAT, Cisco PIX never showed any symptoms of slowing down. The only drawback was the management capabilities of the firewall, as it was rated pretty average.
