TiE New Delhi hosts TiEcon India 2004

BANGALORE: The New Delhi Chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs [TiE], a global not-for-profit organization, today announced that its annual event TiEcon India 2004 is scheduled to be held on 20th and 21st December 2004. TiEcon India 2004, the flagship event of the New Delhi chapter is one of Asia’s largest conventions focused on entrepreneurship. The two day event will bring together reputed entrepreneurs and thought leaders from across the industry, academia and the government for exchanging ideas, innovations on the key theme - “Entrepreneurship in a Global Age: The Engine of Growth”. The event will comprise of panel discussions as well as brainstorming and mentoring sessions. Some of the eminent speakers who will share their ideas and views will be, Desh Deshpande, Kanwal Rekhi, C.K.Prahalad, Kiran Karnik, Sam Pitroda, Saurabh Srivastava, Naresh Trehan, amongst others. The events would start with the inaugural session by Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Sam Pitroda, Sunil Mittal and Saurabh Srivastava on the 20th of December at the Maurya Sheraton, New Delhi. This would be followed by a power panel discussion on “Balancing Economic growth & Social Development”. Renowned personalities like Kiran Karnik, S.Shiv Kumar, Dr. Ashok Jhunjunwala and others will be giving their views in the course of the discussion. TiEcon India 2004 will also provide a forum for young politicians like Naveen Jindal, Milind Deora, Manvender Singh and B J Panda who will grace the occasion and speak on their vision for India’s Future. One of the interesting sessions in TiEcon India 2004 would be a panel discussion on “Emerging Verticals”. Participating in this session would be eminent professionals like Dr. Naresh Trehan along with eminent speakers from, Baring Private Equity Partners, Khattar Wong & Partners, amongst others. The session on “Scaling up” includes renowned speakers from Orion, Makemytrip.com, Warburg Pincus, eGurucool, etc. This event will also provide a unique opportunity to the media to have their queries addressed by these personalities in an exhaustive media interactive session along with one-on-one sessions which will be held at the end of each discussion.
