TiE Entrepreneurial Summit 2008 to be held in Bangalore

Bangalore: TiE Entrepreneurial Summit (TES) 2008, to be held in Bangalore from December 16 to 18, 2008, will bring together a galaxy of entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, policy makers, academia, industry, thought leaders and other major stake holders. TES 2008, which is Asia's largest summit on entrepreneurship, will focus on the key theme of 'Inclusive Entrepreneurship' and entrepreneurship in a global environment. This meet will focus on bringing together thought leaders and captains from different industry sectors and verticals such as retail, real Estate, hospitality, healthcare, education, aerospace, manufacturing, social entrepreneurship, clean tech, mobile and financial services and others. This is the first time Bangalore will play host to TES. TES 2008 commences with the inaugural address by Azim Premji, Chairman, Wipro and further incorporates special panel discussions moderated by renowned Industry experts like Som Mittal, (Nasscom), Nandan Nilekani (Infosys) and various others. The three day summit will also provide attendees with an opportunity to benefit from interactive Mentor sessions and Guru Talk (a forum where a small set of learners may interact as a group) with iconic individuals such as Sanjeev Bikhchandani and Scott Cook. Another session called 'My Story' will see personalities like Nirmal Jain, CMD, India Infoline, K Ganesh, CEO and founder, TutorVista, Satya Narayanan R, Chairman, Career Launcher, sharing their journey to success. Speaking about the upcoming summit, Ravi Narayan, Chairperson, TES Bangalore said, "The need of the hour is to look beyond the technology sector and to promote interaction between other fast growing industries therefore propelling the economic growth of India. Inclusive Entrepreneurship is all about supporting entrepreneurs from all backgrounds and unleashing the creative potential that people have within them." Pradeep Kar, President, TiE Bangalore Chapter, said "TES 2008 has been crafted to provide exposure to and solicit participation by many of the other sectors that provide start-up opportunities and I hope the event will provide a platform to embrace other organizations and corporations that foster entrepreneurship and actively involve these groups in all facets of the Summit."
