ThoughtWorks appoints Mahesh Baxi as MD, India

Bangalore: ThoughtWorks, a global IT consultancy has announced the appointment of Mahesh Baxi as Managing Director of ThoughtWorks, India. As a Managing Director of ThoughtWorks India, Baxi is responsible for the company's India operations, business strategy, software delivery excellence, customer relationships and balancing sustainable growth and employee needs.
Baxi joined ThoughtWorks in July 2008 as Head of Delivery and later became Chief Operating Officer where he was responsible for day-to-day operations of business. Prior to ThoughtWorks, he worked in the Software industry for over 15 years out of which he spent 12 years in the Bay Area, USA. He has worked for various software product development companies including Apttus, Vendao, Nextance and Challenger Systems where he led the professional services group as a Director of Professional Service and CRM and B2B practices as engagement manager. He has worked with fortune 500 clients such as IBM, Qwest Communications, Eastman Chemical, Anheuser-Busch, PeopleSoft, Adobe, Lenovo, Thomson Financial, Hitachi, Symantec, S1 Corp. etc.

Baxi said, "I look forward to continuing the momentum, expand business in the Asia Pacific market, help customers through our delivery excellence and create a home for the best knowledge workers in the world." He holds a Computer Engineering degree from Gujarat University. He is part of the Technology Advisory Board for PSVillage and contributing editor of the book 'Tips from the Trenches'.
