Bangalore: McAfee this Christmas has warned its consumers especially indulged in e-shopping to beware of the malware. Holidaysis the season green for network deceivers and the big bad guys to land new ways to extract, information that is upclose and personal.

The list of twelve scams, if aware can give the fraudsters sleepless nights.

Android phones-The most prone

Android phones are the most favored  to go on a shopping spree reveals a survey by National Retail Federation (NRF), which states that  52.6 percent of U.S. consumers who own a Smartphone  will be using their device for holiday-shopping related activities—whether it’s to research products, redeem coupons, or purchase holiday gifts. This makes the Android users a soft target for malware related activities and thus giving a rise of 76 percent

 

Malwares through Apps

Free apps downloaded on smartphones for fun can be secretly transferring pricey information about your movements and bank details to a website elsewhere.  Sending expensive messages without users knowledge to streaming out info about your passwords of various accounts prove to be dangerous.
