This Indian Entrepreneur Created a 187 Crore Anti-virus Software Business

In 1993, he finally started a new venture, CAT Computer Services, while continuing with the repair business but pulling customers for a new venture is not easy. It took him more than a few months to find his first customers, two families signed up for the maintenance of their personal computers for an annual fee of Rs 2,000 each. In September 1993 he crossed into the corporate domain by bagging the annual maintenance contract for New India Insurance, followed by another group a month later.

At this time when he was slowly expanding his business one step at a time, his younger brother Sanjay was studying computer engineering in Pune and began writing software programs. He developed a basic model of antivirus software for the company. Kailash realized that the market was ripe for cheap antivirus software and he named this product Quick heal, which was being sold at 700 making it the cheapest option in the market.
