ThinkLABS launches learning camp on robotics for school kids

Mumbai: ThinkLABS Technosolutions, an IIT-Bombay incubated company, has introduced a hands-on learning camp, ROBOCAMP, based on robotics and virtual robotics for school children in Mumbai. The camp, which will start on October 30, will continue till November 13th in Reliance World stores across 5 locations: Juhu, Mulund, Powai Borivali and Opera House. The camp has been designed keeping the academic curricula in mind. Besides introducing participants to Robotics, the camp will elucidate many principles of science and mathematics through demonstrations and hands-on robot building sessions. ThinkLabs trainers will train young minds create a variety of robots like Scorpion, Gripper, Soccer Playing Robot, Line Follower, Obstacle Avoiding Robot, etc. ThinkLabs is introducing a new concept this year - Virtual Robotics that will enable a child to create his / her own PC game, using the principles of Human-Machine interaction and animation. “Ever since its inception in 2006, ThinkLabs has been working towards adding a whole new dimension to science and technology education in India”, said Gagan Goyal, Founder and Director, ThinkLABS Technosolutions. Furthermore, participants of ROBOCAMP would also be eligible to enter the National Robotics Competition (TRICKS) to be held at IIT Bombay. The champion will win a trip to NASA.
