Fremont: Every now and then, we hear of a company sinking in the sea of financial crisis. Few of them had to close shop, but few of them were lucky to have a turnaround CEO as the knight in shining armor to maneuver the company from rags to riches. Here are a few of the famous CEOs who have fished their companies from troubled waters to their present glory.

Steve Jobs

steve jobs, apple, iPod, ipad, iphone, john sculley, pepsiSteve Jobs lured John Sculley away from Pepsi-Cola to serve Apple, but very soon trouble started brewing between Sculley and Jobs, which along with Jobs' temperament, led the board membes of Apple to fire Jobs from the company. He founded NeXT Computer in 1985 with $ seven million. He also bought The Graphics Group (which was renamed as Pixar) from Lucasfilm’s computer graphic division. In the meanwhile, Apple was almost on the verge of bankruptcy.

In 1996, Apple announced its decision to buy NeXT, which brought along Jobs back to the board of Apple. After his return, he introduced iPod and iTunes in 2001, the iPhone in 2007, and the iPad in 2009. After Jobs’ return to Apple, the company has never seen troubled waters again and has filed profits all along.
