The online shopping site Fashion and You had raised $40 million in its series C round of funding from Norwest Venture Partners and Intel Capital and saw the participation of Nokia Growth Partners and existing investors Sequoia Capital in November 2011. The company had raised the funds to expand into additional categories and make strategic acquisitions to complement the existing business. The company was founded in 2010 by Pearl Uppal and backed by Harish Bahl, the Founder of Smile Group. Previously the company had raised funds from European and Indian private investors in series A; and had raised 4$8 million from Sequoia Capital in Series B round of funding.
