New Delhi: Telesoft Technologies, a UK based provider of reliable and cost-effective Telecommunications, Monitoring, Homeland Security and Intelligence solutions, has announced the opening of its telecom laboratory in India to assist integration and roll out of new partner products in the region. The lab has Telesoft's complete range of products allowing local customers to quickly integrate and test software applications and ensure network compatibility in real world conditions. "Feedback from the top 50 Telecom equipment vendors and application developers over the last two years has consistently been that to be successful we have to have a strong local commercial and technical presence, the right pricing and above all the willingness to partner to drive products to market quickly. Our OEM and SI customers rightly demand fast time-to-market for their services to meet the enormous growth rates in this economy," said Gurpreet Dogra, India Country Head for Telesoft Technologies. "Our Noida laboratory staffed with local specialists allows customers a fast way of integrating their telecoms applications into our platforms, allowing them to feed the insatiable demand with their services." Telesoft has already established its sales and support office in India and partnered with distributor Soanar earlier this year. Telesoft's recent successes in India include Pre-Paid Mobile IVR Applications using the OKEFORD Media Platform and OSS Billing Verification deployed using Telesoft's HINTON passive probe products. "We chose India for our expansion plans due to its fast growth and willingness to accept new technologies", said Telesoft Technology's Sales & Marketing Director, Andy Evripides. "Local resources here allow us to show our zest for innovation and our determination to ensure our partners' solutions integrate seamlessly with the telecoms network and quickly provide a return on investment." India is currently one of the fastest growing economies in the world with telecom subscribers base growing at a very high pace. Recent figures from Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) showed that India added 10.1 million mobile subscribers in September 2008, taking the total number of subscribers to 315 million. Analysts estimate India's wireless subscribers to grow to 715 million by the end of 2012 a compound annual growth rate of 25 percent.
