Thiruvananthapuram: Techno Park based Rain Concert Technologies here has signed up to be the technology solution provider and implementation partner for one of the largest public health projects in Tanzania. The project will look into Neglected Tropical Diseases, a group of parasitic diseases occurring in large sections of the population, which is a major health challenge in Tanzania. R. Abhilash, chief executive officer of Rain Concert Technologies, said Monday the company will partner with the National Institute of Medical Research of Tanzania, the Notre Dame University, the USAID and Imperial College of London for implementing the project. "We are providing a unique management information system using cutting-edge, flexible, web-mobile convergent technologies for effective implementation, management and analysis of this programme," he said. Under the project, the current manual field level data collection will be replaced with a mobile technology-based survey providing an instant data capture process, besides providing unprecedented detailed data for future health planning and interventions, added Abhilash. The project is being implemented in a phased manner, starting with a recently concluded successful pilot implementation in the Morogoro region of Tanzania. Rain Concert Technologies provides web-mobile based electronics convergent solutions across various domains, applications and technologies.
