KOCHI: Tata Tea, the world's largest integrated tea producing company, Thursday launched its single origin speciality tea in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the West Asian and North African (WANA) countries. The speciality blend, Tata Tea Select - Finest Assam, is named after India's northeastern state, the world's largest tea-growing region producing quality teas considered by many to be the best in the world. Tata Tea Select - Finest Assam, which will be made available in tea bags and as packet tea, is a well-researched product carefully constructed keeping the Middle East consumer in mind, said a company official. Announcing the launch at a press conference in this Kerala coastal town were Abhijeet Hazarika, chief executive officer, Tata Tetley Limited, Cochin, and S. Lakshmanan, deputy general manager, Tata Tea Ltd. Tata Tea has been present in the Middle East for the last two years with its Kanan Devan brand. T. Damu, special adviser, Tata Tea, said the new product offers the perfect cup of tea with its rich taste and unique flavour.
