Tata Motors, Brazil's Marcopolo in JV

MUMBAI: India's biggest bus and truck maker, Tata Motors Ltd, informed that it would hold 51 percent in a joint venture with Brazil's Marcopolo to make buses and coaches for Indian and overseas markets. The joint venture will set up a new manufacturing facility, which will go on stream in a year, and make a range of standard and luxury buses, a statement from Tata Motors said. The joint venture will also explore opportunities in "bus rapid transit system", the statement said.
