Tata Elxsi and Open Engineering join to provide CAE solutions

Bangalore: Bangalore based embedded technology service provider Tata Elxsi has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian subsidiary of Belgium based Samtech, Open Engineering, for the distribution and support of OOFELIE, a professional software of the latter. The MoU was signed in the presence of H.E. Jean-Claude Marcourt, Minister for Economy, Employment, Foreign Trade and Heritage of Wallonia, by Igor Klapka, CEO, Open Engineering and M.M Prasad, General Manager and Head, System Integration Services, Tata Elxsi. Open Engineering, has developed OOFELIE for modeling and design of electro, thermal, optical and mechanical systems, integrating electrostatic effects, acoustics, phase change and fluids. It also provides project and product design services, and participates in joint industry and academia R&D partnerships for the next generation of sensors and actuators, including micro technologies constraints. MM Prasad, General Manager and Head, System Integration Services, Tata Elxsi said, "Open Engineering will enable us to address the growing requirements of the CAE market segments in India such as Automotive, Aerospace, Defence, Research and Education. " Igor Klapka, CEO, Open Engineering said, " We will support Tata Elxsi on the areas like, for example, on thermo mechanical effects, vibro-acoustics radiations, mechanical-optics coupling, fluids-structure interaction, electromagnetic impact, Mems design and piezoelectric systems."
