TIS acquires two European software firms

MUMBAI: Tata Interactive Systems (TIS), a global e-learning firm of Tata Group, has acquired two European software companies in a move to expand its global presence for an undisclosed amount. The company acquired Tertia Edusoft AG in Switzerland and Tertia Edusoft Gmbh in Germany from the Tertia Group, according to the TIS statement. Tertia Group is the leading provider of human resource (HR) management solutions in Germany. The acquisition comes close of the heels of the successful launch and consolidation and success of TIS operations in Japan and is expected to significantly enhance their global footprint, a span that now includes the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, NZ, U.A.E, Japan, SA, Indian and mainland Europe, it added. The Switzerland-based Tertia Edusoft is a market leader in the development of regulatory and compliance training solutions for the Band Financial Services and Insurance segment. However, Tertia Edusoft Gmbh provides management simulations through their proprietary product Line.
