MONTEREY: After closing a $5-million Series A round earlier this year, Syndera, a provider of application syndication software, plans to launch its first product at the end of this year, said Prashant Gupta, Syndera's founder and CEO. Syndera is an early-stage software company focused on combining open standards and next-generation technology to revolutionize the way that enterprises build, integrate and maintain applications. Syndera's application syndication platform provides a way to pre-integrate applications and leverage existing software assets using standard tools, technologies and skills. These valuable assets, which include application data and functionality, are often difficult to manage as systems grow and change. Syndera software helps enterprises leverage these assets to increase developer productivity, eliminate incremental integration expense and reduce on-going application maintenance and change management costs. Prior to founding Syndera, Gupta was founder, president and CEO of Tivre. Previously, he was chief technology officer for CrossWorlds Software, an early pioneer in enterprise application integration (EAI). Gupta also served as chief architect for Sybase.
