Swiss Biotech delegation for cooperation with India

NEW DELHI: A Swiss delegation on biotech has called for greater cooperation with India on forging alliances in the sector. The team, which includes senior representatives from Novartis and Syngenta, explored the possibility of closer cooperation on biotech alliance and thereby leveraging on the strengths of both the countries, said a press statement by global professional services firm KPMG, co-organizer of the meeting for the Swiss delegation with their Indian counterparts. "India, a high volume promising market for pharmaceuticals, could also emerge not just as a global hub but also present exciting growth opportunities for Indian biotech sector," KPMG Director Prasanna Desai said.
