CHENNAI: Sutherland Global Services Inc today announced that it had been named to the J D Power Certified Technology Service and Support Standards Board. The company would be part of the team responsible for creating the best-practices criteria for the recently announced J D Power Certified Technology Service and Support program, a release here said. This program to recognize excellence in technology support would be administered jointly by J D Power and Associates and the Service and Support Professionals Association (SSPA). Sutherland Client Services Vice-President Joseph Buggy would represent the company and collaborate with other support executives from some of the world's top technology companies, it said. The criteria established by the Standards Board would ensure that all infrastructure and quality-assurance processes met the highest industry standards and should, over time, yield consistently high-quality service and support. ''This advisory group represents the "cream of the crop" of service and support executives, and their sage counsel would be invaluable in laying the groundwork for this certification program, the first of its kind in the industry, SSPA Founder and Executive Director Bill Rose said. ''As a similar program did for the auto industry 20 years ago, this J D Power certification gives service and support teams a set of clear criteria for high-performance and a way of being recognized, in a very prestigious fashion, for achieving excellence.'' Joining Sutherland Global Services on the Board were executives from companies like IBM and Hewlett Packard. Sutherland Global Services is a global customer management company with over 19 years of practitioner heritage in Business Process Outsourcing. Its customer management operations centers were located in the United States, Canada, India and the Philippines. The company's global employee base was over 10,000.
