SupplySolution names Subhash Bhatia new CTO

SOUTHFIELD: SupplySolution, Inc., a provider of supply chain execution applications for manufacturing, distribution, and supplier organizations, on Wednesday announced Subhash Bhatia as chief technical officer. Most recently, Bhatia held a similar post with TradeBeam, a Web-based business platform developer. Bhatia has more than 20 years of management and engineering experience at leading technology companies including Bell Northern Research, IBM, Amdahl, Informix, Oracle, and Infoseek/Disney Internet Group. At Oracle, he led development and performance engineering teams that created the Oracle Application server and electronic payment servers. He was also instrumental in developing software systems useful in building electronic commerce and CRM applications for various automotive suppliers, manufacturers, and dealer networks including Bombardier, Volvo, Saab and Asbury Automotive. More recently, Bhatia was a cofounder, CTO and VP of engineering at SiteBurst where he was responsible for the overall technology vision, strategy, and product development. Previously, he was vice president of business and e-commerce systems for Infoseek/GO networks where he helped build a world class e-commerce infrastructure for Go.com and websites including ABC.com, ESPN.com and Disney Online. SupplySolution's i-Supply Service is the one of the most widely used fulfillment solutions in the manufacturing industry, providing real-time inventory visibility among trading partners at multiple layers within the supply chain. Currently, over 200 supply chains are being managed by the i-Supply Service. Bhatia said he is pleased to be back in the automotive industry, and is anxious to begin work. "I believe the automotive supply business is on the verge of another technology shift, and SupplySolution, with its leadership position, is well situated to pioneer that change," Bhatia added.
