MUMBAI: Indian drug maker Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd has reached an agreement with US-based Women's First Healthcare to buy three drug brands for $5.4 million. Sun said in a statement late on Thursday the brands were antibacterial Bactrim, gynaecological Ortho-Est and antimigrane drug Midrin, which have combined US annual sales of $7.6 million. Sun said it expected sales of these products to start soon. "The acquisition of these US brands will help us understand brand promotion in the US at a low cost," Sun Pharma chairman and managing director Dilip Shanghvi said.
