Sun Micro, MindTree ink OEM pact

NEW DELHI: Sun Microsystems India on Wednesday entered into an OEM agreement with Mindtree to deploy solutions based on Java Enterprise System for customers in key vertical industries focused on by the latter.
As a first step to the agreement, Mindtree, the international IT and R&D services company, has deployed the Sun Java Enterprise System running on Solaris 9 Operating system, a release by Sun Microsystems India said.
The deployment will result in decreased time-to-market for Mindtree's new services by leveraging on the pre-integrated and tested components of the Java Enterprise system's communication and collaboration network service, it added.
