Osaka: Nintendo will be launching its new Wii game console in 2012. This is an attempt to reverse the fall in profits in the game platform by users preferring to use Playstation 3. It will be unveiled in the E3 game show. Nintendo reported its second straight fall in annual profit which was lost out due to the earthquake in Japan. Microsoft and Sony took advantage of it and brought new products to the market. Due to this, Nintendo being a close competitor lost out on the demand for Wii games console. In the last business year, the sales of Wii console have reduced. It is expected to reduce further this year. To defend the increasing competition from other game console makers and makers of smartphones including Apple, Nintendo launched a glasses-free 3D-capable handheld games device, the 3DS, this year.
