Subex bags $1 M contract from Romanian firm

NEW DELHI: Subex Systems, one of India's leading mid-size software development and services firms, Monday announced it had bagged a $1 million contract from a Romanian cellular phone operator. As part of the arrangement, Subex will deploy its flagship fraud management system, Ranger, at the offices of Connex that leads the mobile communications market in Romania with over 2.6 million customers, said a Subex statement. "Ranger has enjoyed continued success in the global market and the Connex order further establishes Subex as one of the most significant players in the revenue maximisation space," said Subash Menon, president and CEO of Subex Systems. Subex's global clientele includes AmericaTel, Global Crossing, Sprint and Teleglobe in North America, Sonatel Mobiles, Sonatel Wireline, Cora, Ikatel and Econet Wireless in Africa. In India, it provides telecom software services to Bharti Mobiles, BPL Mobile, Escotel, Hutch, Idea Cellular and RPG Cellular. Subex Systems focuses on development and marketing of software products and services for telecom applications. The company operates through its branch offices in India, the U.S., Canada, Cyprus and South Africa.
