Steria launches school of learning

Chennai: IT service provider Steria has launched a Leadership School, the Certificate of Global Business Leadership, in partnership with U21Global - the world's premier online graduate school. François Enaud, General Manager of Steria Group, Dr. Mukesh Aghi, CEO of Steria India and Nick Hutton, CEO of U21Global jointly launched the Steria Academy in Chennai. The Steria Academy creates a strong learning and development engine to drive Steria's ability to lead in a global economy. Its program are based on a modular approach with a mix of face-to-face and eLearning program. The first of these, the 8-month long Certificate in Global Business Leadership program is being launched in Chennai as the first of the programs in the School of Leadership. The pilot batch of participants comprises 57 senior representatives from all of Steria's geographies. This program covers key aspects of business leadership in a global market place. The 3 other Schools of Learning of the Steria Academy (Sales, Consulting and Programme Management) are in development and will be coming on stream over the next 12 months. The inaugural batch of Steria leadership participants will meet with their professors in a three day face-to-face session in Chennai, on June 18, 2008. Over the course of the next eight months, they will participate in a series of 10 modules including online and offline training, team work and a final presentation of their team's project to a panel of U21Global professors in February 2009. A second batch will commence in October 2008, a press release stated.
