Spirent launches Indian subsidiary

BANGALORE:Spirent Communications, provider of testing and measurement systems and tools for communications industry, on Tuesday announced the launch of its wholly owned subsidiary in India, Spirent Communications India Pvt Ltd.
Spirent Communications will be based in Bangalore, a company statement said.
The dynamic growth of Indian communications industry and emergence of next generation technologies such as VoIP, VPNs, 3G wireless, IPv6 and Wi-Fi have made India a significant market for the company, it said.
The company has made an investment of close to $1 million and plans to spend $2 million over the next three months in areas of infrastructure and product support.
The India subsidiary will be headed by H S Bhaskar who, as regional manager of Spirent Communications India, will be responsible for support and operational activities in the country, it added.
