Sony Eyes Rs 2,000 Crore Sales This Festive Season

Bangalore: Japanese consumer electronics giant Sony has set a sales target of Rs 2,000 crore for this festive season, about 35 percent higher over the year ago period.
The firm will spend Rs 100 crore on advertising and promotion to boost its sales during the festive season, it said in a statement released here.
"The highlight this year will be theBravia and we intend to sell 4 lakh units of LED/LCDs during the September-October period," Sony India's Senior General Manager Sales, Sunil Nayyar said.
The company offers a wide range of products including laptops under the brand Vaio, gaming console Playstation, camera Cyber-shot.
The company also plans to launch its tablets this year in the country.
