Sonata posts 27 percent revenue growth in Q3

Bangalore: Sonata Software, an Indian software company, has announced that it has posted a revenue growth of 27 percent (in dollar terms) on Year on Year (YoY) basis for the quarter ended 31 December, 2007. During the quarter, Sonata posted a total revenue of 3611 million, which was 2841.6 million during the same quarter last year. At the same time, total YoY revenue stood at Rs 10470 million. The company registered 156.8 million Profit After Tax (PAT) for the last quarter. It was 157.1 million during the same quarter last year. While the total number of employees stood at 2432 at the end of the quarter, the number of new client added during the same period was 7. Commenting on the result, B Ramaswamy, President and Managing Director, Sonata Software, said, "Growth during the quarter is a testimony of our efforts in providing value to our customers and improving efficiencies. The client additions during the quarter provide additional base for a sustained growth."
