Sonata net dips 27% for FY04

BANGALORE : Software services company-Sonata Software saw its net profit for the year ended March 31, 2004 dip by 27% to Rs 11.38 crore against Rs 15.57 crore in FY03. Net sales during FY04 stood at Rs 69.68 crore against Rs 84.55 crore indicating a fall of 17.6%.
For the fourth quarter (Q4) ended March 31, 2004 the revenues were Rs 19.44 crore against Rs 21.34 crore a decline of 8.9%. The board of directors of the company have also declared a dividend of 30% (amounting to 30 paise on the Re 1 face value share).
