SUNNYVALE: Solix Technologies, a leading provider of enterprise data management solutions, has said that its global development center has attained Software Capability Maturity Model (CMM) Level 5 rating – the highest and optimized level of software process maturity. Fewer than 80 companies in the world have earned a CMM Level 5 rating*, which Solix achieved last week. "We are proud to join a select group of high-caliber organizations worldwide that are at this level of capability and maturity,” says Sai Gundavelli, President and CEO, Solix, “As an immediate benefit from our optimized processes, our customers would see shorter delivery timelines, better quality and increased return on investment.” The Global Development Center (GDC) is a global engineering hub of the company’s enterprise data management software solutions and also develops complex software solutions for customers such as Reader Digest Association (NYSE: RDA), Bearing Point, PENN and Emagia. “Solix has ‘client focus’, they will do whatever it takes to get the job done - this is not something you see in most firms. With Solix, we have been able to achieve significant cost savings with compressed project timelines,” says Jeffrey S. Spar, CIO, RDA. Since 1995, Solix has pursued the world's most advanced software development methods and has put them to practice. Solix constantly evaluates new methodologies to facilitate continuous improvement in process and product related activities. Successful assessment at CMM Level 5 demonstrates Solix’ level of advanced development methodologies. “Digiprise's on-demand service management suite (www.digiprise.com) enabled us to optimize our service delivery processes and helped us attain CMM Level 5,” says Sai Gundavelli, President and CEO, Solix. “As e-business projects get larger and fast time-to-market becomes critical, an optimizing development methodology is essential, “ says Dinendra Joshi, Vice President Engineering, Solix, “We are now positioned as a global leader capable of delivering complex solutions, faster and at reduced costs than our competition.” Solix had achieved Oracle Certified Advantage Partner Status earlier this year, the highest level of partnership with Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ: ORCL) that only few companies have worldwide. Reaching CMM Level 5 in the same year is indeed another outstanding accomplishment.
