SoftJin opens office in California

SANTA CLARA, CA:Bangalore based SoftJin, an EDA (Electronic Design Automation) software development services company, today announced that it has opened its first office in Santa Clara in California. The Santa Clara office addresses the North American electronic industry's need for new and customized EDA software development services and EDA tool building blocks. SoftJin's EDA software development services and building blocks are used by research and CAD divisions of semiconductor companies and EDA companies to expedite in-house EDA tool development of DFY/DFM (Design for Manufacturing/Design for Yield) and programmable platform software. "Our goal with respect to our new U.S. office is to build on our past success, increase our market penetration and support the EDA software development tool needs of our customers," remarked Nachiket Urdhwareshe, SoftJin's CEO. "We picked California because of Silicon Valley and our growing customer base in this region." "We see a new inflection point in the EDA landscape with customers requesting customized tools especially in the post-layout manufacturing area and for emerging programmable fabrics," added Kalyan Patel, SoftJin's Business Development Manager in the U.S. "Our presence in the U.S. will help us take advantage of these opportunities."
