BANGALORE: SoftJin Infotech a leading customized EDA software development services company today released Anuvad (meaning translation in Sanskrit), a software suite that contains essential building blocks that facilitate early adopters in migrating to the new and efficient OASIS format from the outdated GDSII format. The suite includes GDSII and OASIS readers, writers and GDSII-to-OASIS translator besides a suite of utilities developed using the GDSII and OASIS libraries, all in source code form. The suite includes one of the earliest available tools in the industry to handle the OASIS format, and the only one available for free use in source code format. According to Nachiket Urdhwareshe, CEO, SoftJin Infotech," With OASIS expected to replace GDSII as the semiconductor industry standard format for representing and exchanging IC layout data, we felt it presented a tremendous opportunity to showcase the in-depth and unique expertise that we have gained in this domain. The just released Anuvad is thus a huge capability demonstrator for us and we plan to develop and release more tools and libraries in this domain in the near future to strengthen our services platform." "Having executed several complex EDA tool development projects with the help of our world class engineering team, and particularly in the IC layout design area, this tool suite will serve as a first step to our strategy of providing re-usable IP - based EDA software development services. The release of the new tool suite very well complements our aim to be the leading player in providing customized EDA tools," added Kamal Aggarwal, Vice President, Marketing and Strategy at SoftJin
