Sierra Atlantic to invest $ 12 million in India

HYDERABAD: US based Sierra Atlantic will invest $ 12 million for a new development centre in Hyderabad. Spread over seven acre, the campus will spur Sierra’s expansion in India. This is the third such facility of the company in Hyderabad. Sierra Atlantic City Centre is spread over 40,000 sq ft. accommodating over 400 associates, providing implementation, integration, development, support and interoperability services to Sierra Atlantic's global customer base. Vice President of Sierra Atlantic, Mr Sanjay Khendry said, "In the new year as we focus on growth in terms of geographies, customers or service offerings, this expansion in capacity will help us in meeting our promise of 100 per cent customer satisfaction." Sierra Atlantic Global Development Campus will have a total built-up area of 2,50,000 sq ft. When completed, the campus will house 2,400 Sierra Atlantic associates. The first phase will be ready for occupation by the second quarter of 2006. The company has signed a memorandum of understanding on the allotment of land with the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Sierra Atlantic currently has over 840 people globally. The company, headquartered in the Silicon Valley, has offices in Chicago, Atlanta, London, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and three development centres at Banjara Hills and Hitec City in Hyderabad.
