Sierra Atlantic acquires Baytree Associates to enhance onshore capabilities

Fremont: Sierra Atlantic, an information technology services provider, has acquired Baytree Associates, a Charlotte, North Carolina-based consulting firm and Oracle solutions provider. Baytree has more than 100 deployments in U.S. in the healthcare and financial services sectors. This is the third acquisition in the Oracle space by the company within few years. The Baytree acquisition extends and strengthens the company's growing presence in the Eastern U.S., while strenghthening its consulting base. Raju Reddy, CEO of Sierra Atlantic said, "This merger demonstrates progress towards that goal. By combining our strengths, we are building expertise serving marquee customers in key industries." The IT services provider, founded in 1994, was one of the first companies accepted into the Oracle partner program, and maintains Certified Advantage Partner (CAP) status. Moving forward, all Baytree Associates staff will be transitioned to Sierra Atlantic full-time without relocation, ensuring smooth operations for all existing customers. The Baytree Associates brand will be phased out with the acquisition. "The decision to come into the Sierra Atlantic fold was easy because of our similar commitment to Oracle and to providing the best service possible." The deal which was completed on April 1, 2010 hope to gain additional financial and healthcare expertise and customers.
