Sharat Bansal to head IBM BCS

BANGALORE: IBM India announced Wednesday the appointment of Sharat Bansal, as country leader of IBM Business Consulting Services, India. IBM Business Consulting Services, the consulting arm of IBM Corporation was formed after the global merger of PwC Consulting and IBM. Prior to this appointment, Sharat led the Strategy and Business Processes consulting practice at the IBM Business Consulting Services, India, specializing in Business and Corporate Strategy, Supply Chain Management, Customer Relationship Management, Process Re-engineering and e-business. Sharat is a member of the IBM India leadership team and played an active role in the transition from PwCC to IBM Business Consulting Services. Commenting on the leadership changes, Abraham Thomas, IBM India's managing director, said, "Anjan has a distinguished industry record over many years in the consulting business. Under Anjan's leadership, IBM Business Consulting Services has provided IBM with a firmer foundation to continue the conversation about what matters to our customers and the industry. Bansal, who has over 23 years of consulting experience, was the managing director and Partner of PwC, and joined IBM after the acquisition.
