Sequoia Capital opens office in New Delhi

Bangalore: Sequoia Capital, a global venture capital firm with offices in Mumbai and Bangalore, opened a new office in New Delhi.
The firm currently has operations in the U.S., China and Israel. Sequoia Capital's website has listed a third Indian office in New Delhi.
Last year, in August, Sequoia Capital India closed its India Growth Fund II on $725 million. The fund is focused on late stage, pre-IPO and public market investments in India in sectors such as technology, retail, financial services and infrastructure.

Earlier this year, one of Sequoia Capital China's founding partners, Zhang Fan, had resigned from the venture firm.
