Mumbai: The sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange closed at a record high, the second in as many days, outperforming its Asian peers, which closed in the red. The Sensex closed at 20,375.87 points, up 84.98 points or 0.42 percent. The broader S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed at 6,159.30 points, up 62.05 points or 1.02 percent. The markets climbed to a record high on hopes a US Federal Reserve rate cut would boost foreign inflows into the country.
