CHENNAI:IndiaÂ’s fourth largest software exporter, Satyam Computer Services said it would expand its global footprint by opening more delivery centers and sales offices abroad. "We are systematically expanding our global footprint. That is a thrust area for us," Satyam chairman B Ramalinga Raju said. When asked where will the company set up its operations, he said, "It (expansion of global footprint) helps us to serve our global customers better." When asked whether the company will open more sales offices or development centers outside India, Raju said, "The expansion will be on both the accounts." Satyam is currently present in 46 countries. In November, it opened a development centre in Hungary and an office in Brazil in October. In Brazil, the company expects to have a team of 100 associates in place by October 2005. The opening of Satyam Hungary Development Centre (SHDC) took the number of delivery centers of the company to 20. The Hungary center is located on a 6000 sq ft location within the Info Park campus in Budapest and can initially house up to 60 IT professionals.
