Satyam to launch global delivery campus in China

Bangalore: Satyam Computer Services, Ltd. (NYSE: SAY), announced that it will launch a Global Delivery Campus (GDC) in Nanjing. Rama Raju, CEO, Satyam and Mr Shao Qiang , the Standing Director of the Nanjing New & High Technology Development Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nanjing Hitech Zone performed the signing ceremony for the construcion of the campus. "We are very pleased to be able to establish this facility in Nanjing, which will play an important role in our Global Delivery Model," said Mr B Rama Raju, cofounder and CEO, Satyam With 2,500 seats, it will be the organization's largest development facility outside of India. It will also be the largest campus in terms of space, and will include areas devoted to development and training, as well as a convention center. The state-of-the-art facility will be located in the Nanjing Software Park, and feature a broadband data communication system, and conveniences such as a restaurant, shopping mall, recreation and entertainment centers, and residential apartments. Satyam has been one of earliest entrants in the Chinese market with its first development centre being established in Shanghai in 2002 with only 10 associates. Satyam China today has grown exponentially with presence in Shanghai, Beijing, Dalian and Guangzhou.
