Satyam receives Business Excellence Award

MUMBAI: India’s fourth largest IT services company, Satyam Computer Services Ltd said it has received the Indo-Australian Business Excellency Award for its entrepreneurial role in supporting industry growth, development and investing in local human capital in Australia. Leading bodies, such as Invest Australia, the Australian Trade Commission (AUSTRADE) Australia-India Council, Western Australian Trade Offices, Export Import Bank of India, and Indo-Australian Chamber of Commerce, facilitated the award the company said. “We have always believed in delivering world-class business solutions, and our Australia operations have, in the past one year effortlessly worked, and contributed towards the same. We look forward to continue our efforts and deliver the best-of-breed solutions to our customers, and sustain our ability to nurture the local IT talent, “ Satyam director and senior vice-president and head of APAC region Virender Aggarwal said. Satyam currently has employed about 420 associates in Australia, out of which 32 percent are locals. The company has also tied up with the University of Melbourne to support grid and distributed systems (grids) labs, and the Victorian University to boost opportunities for both Victor ICT students and businesses.
