Satyam launches software centre for Fujitsu

HYDERABAD: Indian software major Satyam Computer Services Friday launched a centre in Bangalore to provide high-end product development support to Japan's Fujitsu Limited. The centre will provide a comprehensive bandwidth of services, including product development, integration, testing and maintenance across the full life cycle of the product, to achieve quicker time-to-market and gain cost efficiencies, said a statement from Satyam. Satyam's Telecom-Infrastructure-Media and Entertainment-Semiconductor (TIMES) group has been associated with Fujitsu for over 18 months. Yoshiyuki Tanakura, president of Fujitsu's software group, said: "We feel strengthened by the participation of excellent engineers from Satyam as partners in our endeavour of producing Fujitsu global strategic middleware products." TIMES president Kalyana Rao said: "Satyam and Fujitsu share a common vision, which is one of the many reasons we are together today as global partners in excellence."
