Satyam Q4 net up 18 percent at Rs 467 Cr

Mumbai: India's IT firm Satyam Computer has posted 18.6 percent surge in Q4 consolidated net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2008, at Rs 466.85 crore as against Rs 393.58 crore in the corresponding quarter in the previous year. According to a release issued by Satyam to the BSE, the company's Q4FY08 total income increased 31.9 percent to Rs 2,438.99 crore from Rs 1,849.55 crore in Q4FY07. The company's consolidated FY08 net profit rose 20.2 percent to Rs 1,687.89 crore when compared with Rs 1,404.74 crore posted in FY07. Total income was up 31.1 percent at Rs 8,740.69 crore from Rs 6,668.36 crore. Futher, the company has recommended a final dividend of 125 percent (Rs 2.50 per share on par value of Rs 2 per share). The total dividend recommended for the year is 175 percent (Rs 3.50 per share on par value of Rs 2 per share), including interim dividend of 50 percent (Re 1 per share on par value of Rs 2 per share).
