BANGALORE: The German biotech engineering and bio processing company Sartorius has relocated its international service center from Germany to Bangalore. The center will cater to the entire Asia-Pacific and U.S. market and will validate equipment and process for global and domestic customers of Sartorius, besides offering technical support for biotech-pharma production and lab centers. Its center for sterility testing is a first-of-its-kind in the country at a manufacturing site. Key features of the validation center include water for injection, pure steam and ultra pure water. Company sources said the parent company decided to set up the facility in India considering the country as a potential business hub providing cost effective technical work force and other resources. ?The biotech scene is buoyant and Sartorius India is positioning itself as a total solutions provider in biotech engineering and bio processing. In the area of total systems, there is no competition for Sartorius India although there are several players in the unorganized sector,? Dr. Anil Paul Kariath, chief operating officer, Sartorius India said.
