Sapient appoints new co-Managing Directors for India operations

BANGALORE:Sapient Technologies has announced the appointment of Soumya Banerjee and Changappa Kodendera as co- Managing Directors for the Indian operations. Changappa Kodendera started his career with Sapient in 1994 and has led the technology direction on key engagements with Sapient's financial services and automotive industry clients. A member of Sapient's leadership team in India since 2001, Kodendera has been instrumental in launching and evolving the company's Global Distributed Delivery methodology. Most recently Kodendera was responsible for Sapient's expansion into Bangalore where he is currently located. Soumya Banerjee joined Sapient in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1996, and has led large global engagements in the financial services and travel industries. In 2000, Banerjee moved to New Delhi to lead the delivery of Sapient's first distributed engagement out of India. Since then, as part of the Sapient India leadership team he has been instrumental in ensuring delivery success and growing the India operations. Banerjee was recently responsible for re-structuring Sapient's organization in India, aligning people to global industry business units.
