Sanjeev Keskar leaves AMD

BANGALORE: Sanjeev Keskar, country manager (India), Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has quit the company to pursue career elsewhere, the company has announced. According to an AMD spokesman, the company has not yet taken a decision on who would be taking over the position of country manager. "I have accomplished what I set out to do," said Keskar. "AMD India is on a strong growth path." At AMD, Keskar was responsible for AMD's India operations and looked after the sales and marketing, distribution management and OEM areas. Keskar joined AMD in 2001 and previously held the position of country manager at National Semiconductor. In the context of Keskar's resignation, AMD India president, Ajay Marathe said, "AMD is in the process of building a strong management team to accelerate our growth in India. To effectively meet our customer needs, we have structured our team in four key areas - sales, marketing, business development, and technical support."
