Samsung's Galaxy Y Launched in India


Bangalore: The newly announced Galaxy Y which costs Rs 7,800 has much better specifications and lower price. Since it is targeted at the youth there will be more colour options in the form of interchangeable covers. It is surely an affordable handset for teens or emerging markets. The Galaxy Y comes with a 3 inch QVGA display, TouchWiz UI, HSPDA, Wi-Fi; GPS and scores with better display performance. The phone has a small 2 megapixel main camera. The device is light after having a 1200 mAh battery, which is enough to power this device for up to two days use. Galaxy Y gets Android 2.3 Gingerbread as its operating system and combined with Samsung's Touch Wiz user interface it delivers a nice user experience. It is powered by a fast 832 MHz application processor which is the maximum that has been offered at this price.
