Bangalore: Samsung's upgraded version of Galaxy S smartphone is now accessible in India, powered by enhanced 1.4GHz processor and Android, priced at around 22,000. It's the second device to be launched after Galaxy R . The device features a 4 inch Super AMOLED full touch display which does not necessitate backlighting. It comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread Operating system and 512 MB of RAM. The 5 megapixel camera shoots high definition video, and also features VGA front camera for video calling, which is nothing new from Galaxy S. Powered by a 1650 mAh battery, Samsung S Plus would offer talktime of 17 hours on 2G and 7 hours on 3G. Alike the original Galaxy S, the phone has 3G, Bluetooth and WiFi. Being a DLNA certified device, you can connect it wirelessly to any other DLNA certified device. It includes other options like a USB port and TV out port. The phone comes with a regular suite of Android (Google) apps like GMail, Gtalk, Maps, Push mail etc. No official words yet for the launch of these devices, though they are offered from several online stores and big retailers.
