Samir Chopra Hosted a Reception in Honour of Carter

Bangalore: The President elect of Indian Americans, Samir Chopra, recently co-hosted a reception in New York City in honor of Zach Carter.

Samir Chopra has been recognized as “Who’s Who is America” and  is a former employee of the Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He is a past recipient of the International Walter Upjohn Award and the President of the United States Volunteer Service Award.

 Samir previously served as a Director of the South Asian Bar Association, Trustee of the Hindu Center in New York and Director of the Indian American Committee. He completed his education at Emory University, INSEAD (France) and Harvard. He is also a marathon runner and triathlete.

 Samir is the Founder of the Indian American fraternity in the United States. He has been honored by the United States Senate, United States Congress and all three of the last Governors of the State of New York.

Speaking on the occasion of the reception ceremony, Samir Chopra said, “Carter has a distinguished career in public service and it is our honor to recognize his achievements for society.”

Carter serves on the Board of Directors of Marsh & McLennan Companies and on the Board of Cablevision.
